Volunteer & Student Coordinator: Part-time

Position Summary:

The Volunteer & Student Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of the Volunteer and Student Program. This program is designed to assist the Faith Family staff and to provide learning opportunities for students. The volunteer opportunities & student service project categories include both clinical and administrative duties and can be accomplished by individuals and/or groups. The projects can be either one-day, short-term or long-term assignments. The Coordinator will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Operations Officer and the Chief Development Officer. This position reports to the Chief Development Officer.

Job Type: Part-time (15-20 hours per week)

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate existing volunteer program
  • Create and implement new volunteer opportunities
  • Recruit and manage volunteers and students
  • Receive and respond to individuals, students, churches, corporations and other group requests
  • Manage the church outreach committee, which tells FFMC message at partner churches
  • Design and implement volunteer/student orientation
  • Coordinate the schedule of volunteers and students to fulfill the clinic needs; including email reminders, phone calls, etc.
  • Facilitate and support training of all volunteers
  • Maintain all volunteer records and statistics, using DonorPerfect software and spreadsheets
  • Screen volunteer candidates
  • Create and circulate monthly volunteer newsletters
  • Create and maintain shared volunteer calendars (i.e. Google calendars)
  • Partner with other staff to represent FFMC at health fairs, awareness events, etc.
  • Plan and implement volunteer appreciation activities including an annual luncheon
  • Conduct annual volunteer survey
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Skills or Abilities:
  •  Bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience preferred
  •  Demonstrated successful engagement of the public
  •  Previous volunteer management a plus
  •  Well developed communication skills, both oral and written
  •  Donor Perfect (or other fundraising software) experience a plus
  •  Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Officer Suite
  •  Effective human relations and management skills
  •  Compassionate
  •  Attention to detail

Development Coordinator

 

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, the Development Coordinator provides administrative support to the Development team. The Development Coordinator must be creative and enjoy working within a small, fast-paced environment that is mission and results driven. The Development Coordinator will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communications, administrative and organizational skills and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. The Development Coordinator must work under pressure to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.

Job Type: Full-time

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Maintains grant calendar and assist Development Team to ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Enters all data and gifts into DonorPerfect, our donor CRM system, and generates gift acknowledgement letters and mailings.
  • Supports Chief Development Officer and Development team grant writing efforts by conducting grant research, gathering and synthesizing information and retiring outdated opportunities.
  • Manages donor CRM system (Donor Perfect) to pull donor information, generate mailing lists, conduct donor analysis, etc. Expected to become agency designated CRM system “Super-User.”
  • Works on special projects such as outreach, grant development and project support.
  • Assists with organizational needs such as project tracking and monitoring progress toward goals.
  • Handles confidential and sensitive information relating to successful running of the organization and its systems.
  • Coordinates and maintains efficient administrative systems and operations related to management of electronic and paper filing systems of development related files.
  • Proofreads donor communications including newsletters, thank you letters, donor appeals, etc.
  • Assists with planning, day-of and post fundraising events logistics and data-collection.
  • Manages inventory and ordering of marketing collateral and coordinates with printer and mail house for mailings.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Minimum three years of relevant administrative/operational experience, preferably in non-profit organizations.
  • Experience with fundraising and grant research/management preferred.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Platform (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point), Adobe Acrobat and all social media web platforms. Experience with Donor Perfect or other CRM system and social media is a preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff, board members, external partners, and donors.
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks, assignments, and priorities.
  • Ability to problem solve, learn quickly, and multi-task.
  • A motivated self-learner who is comfortable learning new software platforms will succeed in this position.

Front Desk Associate

 

Position Summary

Faith Family Medical Center, a local non-profit that provides primary care to the working uninsured is seeking an individual to become our front desk office assistant. This individual will screen prospective and current patients over the phone to verify eligibility and check out patients as they leave the center. A kind and welcoming spirit is a must.

Job Type:  Part time- 3 days per week

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Welcome each individual as they call into and enter our facility
  • Verify that the individual qualifies to be seen at our facility
  •         Check patients out at the conclusion of their visit to our facility

Bilingual Office Nurse (Part Time)

Job Title: LPN/MA

Department: Clinical

Immediate Supervisor Title: Chief Operations Officer

Job Supervisory Responsibilities: Clinical support staff/volunteers

Essential Job Responsibilities:
  • Assists Primary Care Providers in treating patients in the office.
  • Calling patients with results, prescriptions, and other information as directed by providers/protocol.
  • Talks directly to patients on the telephone and then directs them to emergency rooms (ERs) or urgent care centers or to see their provider during office hours.
  • Performs short evaluation of the patient situation to estimate severity of illness and/or injury including learning about chief complaint and, as possible, obtaining vital sign and mental status information.
  • On the phone:
    1. Determines urgency of seeing the patient based on brief assessment and on familiarity with a patient’s condition and history.
    2. Sends those with high-risk chief complaints to ER immediately or arranges for ambulance. May provide appropriate home health advice to those patients who do not need to go directly to the ER.
  • Sets up appointment for patients who do not need to go to ER but need to see a provider or arranges for an appointment scheduler to make the appointment.
  • Acts, when designated, in “Ask a Nurse” capacity, handling routine information requests from patients, e.g., “Do I need a flu shot every year? When are you giving these shots?”
  • Assist providers in educating patients.
  • Schedule diagnostic tests as needed.
  • Send in all required documentation on diseases to the health department.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education: LPN/RN
Experience: 1 or more years of nursing experience preferred. Bilingual (Spanish)preferred but not necessary.

Other Requirements: Current state LPN license or MA certification. Current CPR certificate.
