Event and Marketing Manager


Position Summary

The Event and Marketing Manager works with the President and the Chief Development Officer to develop strategies for raising resources to support operational and capital needs through general fundraising, marketing and special events. This position is directly accountable to and works under the supervision of the Chief Development Officer.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities


  • Promotes the Center and its programs to the community at large
  • With Development team, develops fundraising plan consistent with FFMC strategy
  • Develops strategies for and manages all aspects of events in support of FFMC
  • Creates a comprehensive plan for and manages all aspects of agency marketing efforts

Special Events

  • Manages all aspects of events – typically there are two major fundraisers a year
  • Creates and implements measurement tools needed for marketing success; e.g., timelines, tracking tools, Emma communications, etc.
  • Works directly with event chair(s) and committee(s)
  • Creates and manages all printed and digital materials associated with special events – program/agenda, taking reservations, entertainment, sponsors, volunteers and event follow-up
  • Assesses cost/benefit at the end of each event with recommendations for the following year


  • Under the guidance of the Chief Development Officer, directs all marketing strategies to further the FFMC brand
  • Acquires and schedules speaking engagements in the community
  • Attends or schedules other staff to attend health fairs, church, civic and community events to represent FFMC
  • Produces media plan and calendar including but not limited to: press releases, events and other publicity worthy
  • Manages mailing list, content, design, production, and distribution of digital and printed newsletters
  • Manages content, production and distribution of all marketing/collateral materials
  • Develops compelling multimedia presentations for outreach to churches, civic groups, and other speaking opportunities
  • Works with FFMC Volunteer Coordinator to manage volunteer group community marketing and publicity efforts

Digital Communications

  • Develops strategies and timeline for online giving efforts
  • Creates and implements social media plan
  • Responds to FFMC social media comments and inquiries
  • Plans, updates and manages agency website content
  • Responsible for efforts to move more donors from print to online communications
  • Plans strategies for and manages all advertising for FFMC using a variety of platforms
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
  • Four year degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Demonstrated successful fund development experience
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively
  • Experience in marketing, communications or public relations desired
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Advanced experience with Excel and Fundraising Software, Donor Perfect experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of WordPress and graphic design is a plus

Volunteer & Student Coordinator: Part-time

Position Summary:

The Volunteer & Student Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of the Volunteer and Student Program. This program is designed to assist the Faith Family staff and to provide learning opportunities for students. The volunteer opportunities & student service project categories include both clinical and administrative duties and can be accomplished by individuals and/or groups. The projects can be either one-day, short-term or long-term assignments. The Coordinator will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Operations Officer and the Chief Development Officer. This position reports to the Chief Development Officer.

Job Type: Part-time (15-20 hours per week)

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate existing volunteer program
  • Create and implement new volunteer opportunities
  • Recruit and manage volunteers and students
  • Receive and respond to individuals, students, churches, corporations and other group requests
  • Manage the church outreach committee, which tells FFMC message at partner churches
  • Design and implement volunteer/student orientation
  • Coordinate the schedule of volunteers and students to fulfill the clinic needs; including email reminders, phone calls, etc.
  • Facilitate and support training of all volunteers
  • Maintain all volunteer records and statistics, using DonorPerfect software and spreadsheets
  • Screen volunteer candidates
  • Create and circulate monthly volunteer newsletters
  • Create and maintain shared volunteer calendars (i.e. Google calendars)
  • Partner with other staff to represent FFMC at health fairs, awareness events, etc.
  • Plan and implement volunteer appreciation activities including an annual luncheon
  • Conduct annual volunteer survey
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Skills or Abilities:
  •  Bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience preferred
  •  Demonstrated successful engagement of the public
  •  Previous volunteer management a plus
  •  Well developed communication skills, both oral and written
  •  Donor Perfect (or other fundraising software) experience a plus
  •  Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Officer Suite
  •  Effective human relations and management skills
  •  Compassionate
  •  Attention to detail
