PRIMARY CARE FOR THE WHOLE PERSON
TREATING THE WHOLE PERSON NOT JUST THE SYMPTOMS IS THE GOAL OF FAITH FAMILY MEDICAL CENTER.
People without health insurance often tend to skip primary medical care altogether. As a result, they often find themselves in the hospital Emergency Room with medical conditions that are more serious, more complicated and more expensive than they might have been. Faith Family enables people to seek treatment in the earlier stages of their illnesses.
Another benefit that Faith Family can offer is continuity of care. The patients at Faith Family are able to enter into a relationship with a medical provider who they will see each time they come to the clinic for an appointment.
When patients come to Faith Family for the first time, many are in need of comprehensive care. We are able to fulfill this need because of the many services we provide; including family medicine, diagnostic lab testing, physical therapy and individual or family counseling. The dedicated physicians and nurse practitioners emphasize the healing of the whole person including their physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
When the medical needs of our patients exceed what we can offer here at Faith Family, we send them to our “extended family” of professionals who often see our patients for a reduced fee. Area hospitals also support our mission because it assists in reducing unnecessary visits to their emergency rooms.
WHAT IS JOURNEY TO WELLNESS?
JOURNEY TO WELLNESS: A WELLNESS PROGRAM DESIGNED TO EDUCATE, GUIDE, AND ENCOURAGE A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE
To further address the needs of our patients, we initiated the health and wellness program: Journey to Wellness. This program exists to improve overall health and reduce the risk factors for diabetes (such as obesity, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure).

WHAT IS THE WOMEN’S HEALTH INITIATIVE (WHI)?
WOMEN’S HEALTH INITIATIVE (WHI): A WELLNESS PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES WOMEN-FOCUSED CARE AND HEALTH EDUCATION
WHI provides primary health care and education specific to women, including PAPs, breast exams, mammograms, blood pressure readings, and cholesterol tests. A key goal of the program is to increase education about breast self-awareness, screening guidelines, early detection services, and the importance of preventative self-care.
WHI is made possible, in part, by a grant from The Greater Nashville Affiliate of Susan G. Komen.
