Face Coverings & Telehealth

In accordance with the CDC recommendations to wear cloth face coverings in public settings, we are requiring all persons inside our clinic to wear a mask. Patients will be provided a mask for their personal use if they arrive without a face covering.

In addition to our clinic remaining open for in-person appointments, we continue to offer telehealth services to our existing patients so they can maintain their health without risking exposure. These appointments are a great option for:

  • Diabetic or hypertensive patients
  • Concerns regarding ADD/ADHD, depression or anxiety
  • Patients with high cholesterol
  • Medication refills

Beth Allen, our Wellness Director, is also holding telehealth appointments with her Journey to Wellness patients. Keep your health on track and please call the clinic to schedule an appointment with your provider or Beth today.

COVID-19: Important Updates from our Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Panovec

Dear Friends and Patients of Faith Family,

Over the last few weeks, each one of us has felt the impact of the COVID-19 crisis. Churches, schools, and non-essential employees adjust to a new virtual norm. Numerous businesses have had to close their doors, leaving many without work. The number of confirmed cases in Tennessee continues to rise as tests are more readily available. These are troubling and uncertain times, but we are here for you.

We are dedicated to caring for our patients and our community as our clinic will remain open to ensure our patients receive the ongoing and comprehensive care they need, deserve and expect from us. As the situation changes or develops, we are committed to being transparent and open with you. In response to these ever-changing and unprecedented circumstances, we have made some changes to our services and patient qualifications. Please read below for more information.

Faith Family Medical Center is committed to the safety and well-being of our patients, employees and neighbors during the COVID-19 pandemic. We continue to follow the CDC guidelines and recommendations for COVID-19 precautionary measures. The health of our employees and patients is paramount as we fulfill our mission: Driven by faith, we provide hope and healing to our hardworking neighbors in need.

Telehealth Services
Faith Family continues to implement new solutions to improve care and convenience. We have implemented telehealth services which are available for existing patients for the safety and well-being of our employees and patients. Types of telehealth appointments include diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol, ADD/ADHD, depression, anxiety, and medication refills. Providers perform all parts of a normal office visit, except for the physical exam, and patients can discuss their medical needs and concerns from the comfort of their own home.

COVID-19 Testing
We currently do not have the capability to test for COVID-19, but our front desk can assess your symptoms over the phone and direct you to a local testing site or hotline. Every patient will be screened prior to their arrival at the clinic in order to keep patients and staff safe. If you are experiencing symptoms, please call the clinic first so our staff can guide you through the appropriate next steps. Do not come directly to the clinic.

We continue to follow all CDC guidelines to reduce risk and minimize any possible exposure – regularly sanitizing the clinic, excellent use of personal protective equipment (i.e. wearing masks, gloves, and gowns as appropriate), and practicing social distancing between employees and patients in the workspace and waiting room.

Expanded Patient Qualifications
We remain committed to supporting the needs of our community in the face of recent unprecedented challenges. Our Executive Committee has approved an interim policy until July 1 that will allow unemployed persons to receive care at FFMC. Patients must show proof of previous employment within the past 6 months and must secure employment within the next 6 months if continuing care is provided by FFMC. COVID-19: An Important Message from our Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Panovec

Dear Friends and Patients of Faith Family,

We are in a period of understandable heightened awareness and concern over the current pandemic of COVID-19. I want to assure you that we are monitoring this situation carefully as things develop. We have instituted measures at Faith Family which are in direct alignment with recommendations from the Center for Disease Control and the Tennessee Department of Health. I would recommend you look over the CDC guidelines for your home, school, office, and commercial spaces to guide your thoughts and actions to proven methods of disease control. We all need to be involved to slow the spread of this disease.

In an effort to keep our staff, patients, and visitors safe, we cancelled our Open House on Wednesday, March 18. The Open Houses scheduled on April 8, April 22, May 5, and May 20, are still scheduled at this time. Stay tuned for updates.

We continue to see influenza cases so following the COVID-19 guidelines should help to reduce the spread of influenza as well.

If I had to wrap this all up and give “common sense” advice, I would say “Stay home if you are sick, stay home if it would be dangerous for you to get sick (due to illness or compromised health), stay home if you do not NEED to go, and WASH YOUR HANDS!

Our prayers go out to all those affected by this disease and all other diseases which threaten to harm anyone whether it be physically, mentally or spiritually. As always, we covet your prayers as we continue to serve our patients.
